ARTIST

STERLING STEWART also known as Papa Midknight, has been tattooing since 2011. He began his apprenticeship under Rafael Coleman at Iron Horse Tattoo in Shreveport, Louisiana and now tattoos at R U Tattooed in Colorado Springs. Before pursuing tattooing full time, Sterling served in the United States Air Force, where tattooing first started as a creative outlet before becoming his true calling.

He enjoys working in a wide range of styles including black and grey, neo-traditional, anime, and full color, and prides himself on clean linework, smooth shading, and solid color saturation. Sterling believes every tattoo deserves full focus and effort, and his goal is for every client to leave the chair feeling like a meaningful piece of their story has been brought to life.
